Webinar Descriptions:
Webinar: Green Operations and Multi-Tenant Engagement, LEED for EB
w This webinar will feature Daniel Simpson and Sukanya Paciorek sharing their experiences, successes and failures in multi-tenant engagement for commercial real estate office buildings achieving LEED for Existing Buildings: O+M. Interested in learning how to work with tenants towards a common goal of sustainable operations? Join us as practitioners share real-world information and resources. Session Objectives: 1) Review the credits in the LEED EB: O&M Rating System applicable to tenant engagement; 2) Understand the importance of actively engaging tenants; 3) Explore the different methods and strategies for getting buy-in from tenants; and 4) Learn how proper tenant engagement can greatly simplify the pursuit of LEED EB:O+M Certification
Webinar: ND 201: LEED for Neighborhood Development, Sustainability Beyond Building / LEED for Neighborhood Development, Strategies for Urban Infill and Brownfield Redevelopment
w The USGBC has been testing the strengths and weaknesses of LEED for Neighborhood Development through nearly 240 pilot projects over the course of two years. In this webinar, two pilot case studies will focus on lessons learned and best practices that have helped inform revisions to the rating system. Presenters will briefly describe the pilot project on which they have worked, identify implementation challenges, and review areas where the rating system influences project decision making. Speakers: Elizabeth Carroll, Hunter Gee and Susan Mudd.
Webinar: HOMES 202: Numbers, Know How and Navigating LEED in Affordable Housing / LEED Certified Affordable Housing: It Gets Better Every Time
w Fifty percent of projects certified under the LEED for Homes program are classified as affordable housing projects. This underscores that affordability and green is not only feasible, but goes hand in hand. Flexibility of LEED is one of its strengths -- the possibilities exist for project teams to pursue credits and points that are less cost-effective than others. This webinar will discuss those credits that deliver maximum financial and health benefits to occupants, allowing project teams to make more educated decisions in the pursuit of LEED. Attendees will learn the benefits, challenges and lessons learned directly from teams that have implemented LEED on a series of affordable housing developments. Presenters will walk you through their own learning curves, helping you make the more cost-effective, impactful decisions the first time. Speakers: James Ball, David McCarthy and Nicole Sherwood.
